Linspire 5 is commercial, but you can get virtually the same software for free - Freespire.

Freespire is the free version of Linspire and its made by the same people who create Linspire, so they have more or less the same features and packages. If Freespire is no good for you, then you may have to purchase a copy of Linspire.

Two comments:
Freespire is just about the worst distro I ever tested.
Why all the posts asking where to download thing like RHEL and Linspire that normally cost $$$. Why not just download one of the zillions of FREE distros?

After you have started up with the live CD, there is (somewhere) an install command. Maybe in the menus--or perhaps an icon on the desktop.

It's there. Just go thru all the menus....+ maybe some obscure icon on the desktop. or maybe right-click on the desktop....
Tell us what you DO see when you have the live CD running....

I use Freespire 1.0.13 and Linspire 5.1.427 on two desktops and one wireless laptop. If you are not the religious type but just a user, they both work very well. The religious Linux types hate everything but the distro they are using at the time. All my windows files from a external firewire hard drive are used with both distros. Never any issues with the windows files. I stopped using windows 98 nearly two years ago. I use Ubuntu 7.04 once in a while.

You won't find it on the Linspire Live CD
You will find it on the Freespire one because like most distros these days, it is dual-purpose.
It is on the grub menu it boots from. Forget which item, but from memory Freespire choices start with
1. Live and
2. Install.

I have used many distros, installed many for friends, and Freespire was the worst of them all. I installed it for my boss, and he didn't mind it too much, minus the fact dial-up won't work with it well. He reinstalled Windows cause Freespire sucks so bad. Stick with something else.
I don't know why some people get the urge to spend money on one distro out of an estimated 486 that isn't even a very stable, flexible, un-bloated system.

I don't know why some people get the urge to bad-mouth something they don't personally like.
I suggest that you might do better to take your boring self-opinionated self to somewhere like slashdot perhaps, and join your mates in deriding everything that other people create because it doesn't fulfill whatever you think your more important needs are, boyo
