You may have heard this already. Linspire has announced they are going to now be based on Ubuntu instead if directly based on Debian. So basically using any Freespire 2.0 Alpha is pointless at the moment until Alpha 4 or the first beta's are released, which will be based on Ubuntu and will give you a clearer idea of how the newer *spire's will work.
