Linare 3.0

Linare 3.0 was supposed to be released in November, but I have not seen anything about its release. Also, repositories for Linare were supposed to be on place and operational in November, but I've not seen anything on this, either. What's the scoop? Has the new version of Linare been released and are the repositories up and running?

Interesting that the Linare rep apparently has not been here in some time. It's also interesting that Linare has not answered my emails inquiring about this.

There's been no action on their News page since February 2005. Distrowatch has had no news on the system since last year. 1-800-729-3662 is their (I guess) toll-free number, I'd give it a call - maybe they are regrouping?

Yes, I called their toll free number, but could not talk to an actual person.

Linare Restructuring

Hi,
We are a vendor for Linare and I know that they
are restructuring their organization.

They are going to spin-off their hardware division
and completely focus on the Software arean
(Linux OS + more).

They are planning to have their next version of
Linare Linux OS only in the beginning of 2006 - Q2.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Mike

Thank you for that information, Mike! I noticed their online store has been taken off-line, and that explains why. I am looking forward to the new version of Linare and hope it is as well-polished as Linare 2.0 is.
