Call me crazy but............
Call me crazy but i think this distro looks like windoze xp another copy another person thinking there doing the right thing by making it look like xp, call me crazy but i like most linux distros to be a bit more of a challenge to use, thats what make's linux interesting and differnt if they just copy xp then you moz well use it because windoze runs all the games and all the software i love (paint shop pro and a few others), if you get a linux distro copying windoze then you get windoze that doesnt run as much good stuff, plz dont take offence i respect all the distros and the ppl who work towords making them, sorry about targeting this distro but im meaning other ms look alike's as well, kindest respects to any linux distro i just had to get this off my chest.
Regards.
p>S> dont take offence anyone.

When linux is made more easier to use, it can be targetted at the layman, the ordinary user. But that does not mean making it look like a very familiar OS .

I don't see why making a Linux desktop resemble WinXP is a bad thing. *Linux user's heads 'asplode in 3...2...1...* I like WinXP's desktop look and layout. *pop* I'm conformable and happy in the WinXP gui, so why should it be a bad thing for me to stumble upon a Linux distro where I have the same sense of familiarity?

I think it important to note that this is Linux, people. Customise, customise, customise. Red Hat, for example, do this Bluecurve thing which I hated, but I did not despair - I changed it. So, the moral of the story is, if you dislike the look, make it look different.
That is the end of this public announcement.

customize it don't criticize it
i'll throw in one of my first posts by saying Xavier makes a great point.
besides, is not one goal to convert windows users?
why not introduce them via an interface that makes them feel right at home?
if they want xp they'll run xp but if they run linare maybe they'll gain a lil bit of confidence.
a lil goes a long way.
