Updating grub after libranet istallation

Hi all!

This is my first post in the libranet forum. As a matter of fact, I'm a new user of the libranet distribution (I'm referring to the 2.7 version, the one available for free download). I was positively impressed by the very easy istallation and also by the nice ICEwm environment.

A couple of newbie question (sorry!)

First question: I' m coming from Mandrake and RH. I'm not really experienced in system conf via shell, and I istalled libranet to make a step towards Debian "world". In this sense, I wonder if there are important differences to be aware of, between Libranet and a classical Debian, concerning system administrations and package handling....

Second question: at boot my pc starts grub (RH it's my other distro, apart a win partition) to choose what OS to start... I tried to modify grub.conf to add a couple of rows for booting libranet (otherwise I must use the floppy made during installation procedure), but I did not was able to understand what to add... I installed libranet on the "logical" partitions /hdb5 (root), /hdb6 (/home) and /hda7 (swap) on /hdb HB.

Thanks in advance for any hint.

Marco

You add:

title Libranet
kernel (hdx,x)/path/to/libra/kernel kernel-options
initrd (hdx,x)/path/to/libra/initrd/if/needed

Your Libra root is probably (hd1,4) in grubeese.

Thanks! I did not insert the "initrd" line. Maybe it's needed...

I always edit menu.lst instead of grub.conf. Dunno if that'll make a difference.
