Are there any pop up blockers for Libranet or Linux systems in general?

Blocking pop ups in an option in Mozilla. I use it and it works great.

Galeon can also block un-wanted pop-ups. So can Opera.
Both (and Mozilla), are included with Libranet.

popup blockers only exist in the first place because companies pay (or otherwise encourage) Microsoft to not add this kind of facitility to IE, not least themselves. Mozilla on windows can block popup windows by default, but when AOL were using Netscape as their client browser they specifically removed this ability, in order to be able to sell it back to the customer at a profit. Linux is not about profit, so things like this are just not an issue. it's far more political and business orientated than you'd have though.

Just to add to this, Konqueror also has the ability to block pop-ups.
Settings > Configure Konq > Java Scripts - smart button.
Figured that out the other day!
