I've tried looking through the forum and haven't been able to figure out if this has been answered already... does the JDS dist. support Athlon 64? I will shortly have a company laptop with dual boot Windoze and JDS, but it is a 32 bit machine. Home machine is an Athlon 64 box; would be great to be running and tweaking the same distribution on both... I've had a Windoze induced system melt down on the home machine and am about to load up w/Linux only - JDS if it supports AMD64.
Current versions of JDS run perfectly happily on AMD64, but only in 32-bit mode. The forthcoming JDS3 for Solaris x86 will have full 64-bit support on Opteron, but I haven't heard if the same is true of the Linux version.
