Don't know if this is a legal request ...
...but could somebody email me this gorgeous desktop wallpaper of JDS ?
This beautiful blue/violet one showing the sunset over the sea.
Anyone ?
Thanks

Thanks
Meanwhile, I had to learn that the one I was actually looking for:
http://www.kefk.net/Linux/Distributi...hot_081803.jpg
does not seem to be included in the official release of JDS.
Someone got an idea where to get it ?

I'm guessing it's just from Sun's stock library du jour, so it's probably copyrighted (in which case I can't send it you)... but I'll try and find out.

Did you receive the tar.gz file?
If you did not get the one on your link, it's not part of the JDS standard collection.
Also, the backgrounds can be found at http://art.gnome.org/

Hi tadelste,
yes, I received your tar.gz. Apparently, my thank-you-response didn't go through to you
So thank you again.
However, the wallpaper archive did not contain the one from the screenshot linked above.
Apparently, cbenson as a Sun official is kind enough to take care of the issue and find out
regards.

You're welcome.
We'll have to try to find it.

I'm still working on it, but as yet I'm struggling to even locate the original image... I had it on my laptop at one time (before it died), as yet I haven't been able to turn up an early enough version of JDS to extract it from (the seascape only featured in the pre-beta versions of JDS1, as far as I can tell), and the visual designer who originally chose it apparently doesn't work here any more. I'll keep trying though...

cbenson,
Would there be a development archive there, that might have it?

Yes, it's quite possibly lurking somewhere in our internal cvs tree, if I can find the one we were using that far back again... that's where I'll be looking next. (Still doesn't guarantee I'll be allowed to distribute it though...)

Yeah, I sent you a link to it a couple of months back via your profile page... email me via mine if you didn't get it (I'm afraid I don't have permission to post it publicly as yet...)

Or failing that, email me at calum.benson@<BigShinyThingInTheSky>.com, as I'm not convinced emailing via the profile pages always works :/
