Network Manager Can't Detect Wi Fi Networks

The network manager can't detect any wi fi networks that can be detected by XP Are there any modifications needed to the code to get it to do so ?

Hi All.

Iīm newbie in Linux.

I have a Asus eeePC 1000H and in Incognito no wireless at all.

I pass as root this command:

lo no wireless extensions
eth0 no wireless extensions

01:00.0 Network controller: RaLink RT2860
03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Attansic Technology Corp. Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 PCI-E Ethernet Controller.

I searched the Net and I have found:

For kernel <= 2.6.30 this wireless drivers isnīt implemented in kernel.

Incognitoīs kernel is 2.6.28.

This driver has been tested and confirmed compatible with unencrypted, WEP, WPA-PSK, and WPA2-PSK networks.

I proceed, but i canīt make either make install. Command no found in bash.

Can any compile it and post clearly how implement?

Can anonym update kernel to this drivers?

Asus eeePC is largely available.

Thanks and sorry my english.
