Is incognito still maintained?

It's just the last release was the 2009 beta and its becoming unusable as a liveCD.
Tork cannot get Tor network lists and reports Tor being too old.
Freenet is out of date by some margin.

Maybe an installed version would allow a world update but for privacy I prefer a live environment running from read only media.

I see that in june anonym stated he was working on a switch to a ubuntu base - has this happened and the project changed names and hosting or something?

Well, more or less. I'm currently working on and off on the debian-based amnesia livecd. Use that one instead! There's been some talk among us involved in amnesia to have it becomme the new incognito (even by name) but we'll see how that goes. The gentoo-based Incognito should be considered dead for the time being, most likely permanently so unless someone else picks it up.

I'll probably post something about this on the incognito website and here soon. Sorry for the trouble.

Interesting....

Please try to offer an user-forum asap (for me an user forum is much more helpful than a mailing list :-)

it may be dead in its current form (as much as i liked it...), but methinks the devs just need 1 day, maybe a few hours just to look at the amnesia site. its a little on the threadbare side :P
