Has anyone got adobe reader 7 to work with Grafpup 2?

I don't actually need it, but I heard it works with Puppy >=2.10, so I thought I'd see if it worked in Grafpup.

When I run acroread in a terminal, it uses 100% of CPU and says "expr: syntax error" forever. The actual executable has a number of expr's in it, and with my experience of bash I hold no hope of fixing it by playing with them

See the section titled "Configuring" to fix that problem --> http://cblfs.cross-lfs.org/index.php/Adobe_Reader

Cool, thanks!

So for it to work you have to open /usr/bib/acroread and replace line 418 with:
echo $mfile| sed 's/libgtk-x11-\([0-9]*\).0.so.0.\([0-9]*\)00.\([0-9]*\)\|\(.*\)/\1\2\3/g'

Also when you install it, if you want to save 4MB space you can just skip the browser plugin installation, and then manually link /usr/local/Adobe/Acrobat7.0/Browser/intellilinux/nppdf.so (or whatever it is if you installed somewhere other than /usr/local/ - /usr/lib/ might actually be more consistent with the way Nathan does things) as /usr/lib/opera/plugins/nppdf.so or similar for other browsers.

After that it complained each time on starting about an error loading PPKlite.api, so I deleted /usr/local/Adobe/Acrobat7.0/Reader/intellilinux/plug_ins/PPKlite.api like other people do, and now it is sweet - I have no idea what functionality I am missing now, but it seems to me that some people that want to save space may be able to delete other plugins with unecessary functionality - that one was 11 MB.
