Qtcurve not working properly anymore after KDE update on Gentoo
I decided to give my system a good update today. Everything is right, except that the icons for Qtcurve are messed up. They are not showing.
I attempted re-emerge qtcurve and the gtk-engines-qt several times, but it is still is not working, Even more odd is that as root, the icons do show up correctly in apps such as Firefox. There is something wrong with permissions, but I cannot track it down. |
It seems I tracked down the problem. I completely removed any traces of the user and created a new user. Now the icons show up again. Still wonder how the icons got messed up in the first place.

Probably the qt or kde config files were messed up a bit. Looking at the x session log file(s) could have shown something, maybe.
