[SOLVED] New install, X isn't working

Greetings folks,

Gentoo newbie here, with a fresh install of gentoo.

X isn't working and there are no errors in xorg.log. No clue where to go from here. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. My video card is a radeon HD 8650G.

I have the radeon kernel module loaded, and the latest linux-firmware.

What else do I need to do?

How are you starting X? With startx or by stating a display manager?
