gentoo linux: Cannot install fsharp after adding dotnet overlay

I'm running gentoo and I'm trying to install fsharp on it. According to the fsharp
website, I should be able to install
it through an overlay. The output of "layman -l" is
Code:
 layman -l

 * dotnet                    [Git       ] (https://anongit.gentoo.org/git/proj/dotnet.git
, so the dotnet overlay was clearly added. Additionally,
Code:
sudo layman -a dotnet
Password:
 * Adding overlay...
 * Repository 'dotnet' was already installed

 * CLI: Errors occurred processing action add
 * Repository 'dotnet' was already installed
says that the dotnet was also already added. However, the output of
'sudo emerge fsharp' gives
Code:
sudo emerge fsharp

  * IMPORTANT: 1 news items need reading for repository 'gentoo'.
  * Use eselect news read to view new items.

Calculating dependencies... done!

emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "fsharp"

emerge: searching for similar names...
emerge: Maybe you meant any of these: dev-haskell/harp, dev-dotnet/gsf-sharp, sci-astronomy/swarp?

That's because there is no separate package "dev-lang/fsharp" (anymore?).

Compile from source

So the only option is to compile it from source I guess.

That's what you do on Gentoo anyway.

Isn't it just a part of the larger packages?
