Gentoo Gnome question

I have installed Gentoo on a Dell Poweredge T100.

I got everything going, & please excuse me if this question has been answered, but after installing gnome, when clicking on the applications menu, nothing appears.

Just wondering if anyone might be able to help on this?

Thank You.

Kris

Re emerge gnome-base/gnome-menus and make sure your system is up to date.
Code:
emerge --sync
emerge -puND world
lafilefixer --justfixit ## You may need to install this
revdep-rebuild
If that does not work then this may help;
