certifi-2999:0 won't build

Hi there. I had a problem with my Gentoo installation.... well, for over a month now. I don't know how to solve it.

(Every time I upgrade)

It gives the circular depoendcies now because I removed the certifi package installed previously, in desperation. Trying to see if that would help.

Now all upgrades have to come with --keep-going as I know that bloody certifi will fail. What it does anyway?

thanks in advance

There's no source package for this version number (anymore?). The GitHub repository only has three tags: https://github.com/mgorny/certifi-shim/tags. None of them is 2999.

Just a note: I abandoned my Gentoo partition for months, and decided to try an update one last time before nuking it. This time it updated without problems. I now get errors on other packages, but I suspect it is just the source not being available (error 502).

I am not back at uni and don't have much free time. Whenever I can I'll nuke it and reinstall anyway. I want a multilib install and I know it is going to be easier to start over.
