Question Cannot emerge anything!

emerge links
error circular dependencies
sys-devel/gcc-4.5.3-r1::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge depends on
sys-libc/glibc-2.13-r4::gentoo
gcc...

Note that circular dependencies can often be avioded by temporary disabling USE flags, that trigger optional dependencies.

I haven't set up any USE flags. Thery are important, aren't they?

Nevertheless might it be not too late? Or I've the 3rd time to compile the handbook again?

Here is my /etc/make.conf

CFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -march=amdfam10"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu"
USE="-kde -dvd -cdr -gpm gcc glibc X gnome gtk"
MAKEOPTS "-j3"
GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://portage.org.ua/"
SYNC="rsync://rsync4.ua.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage"

-gpm gcc glibc appeared after install.

Without the full error message we can only help so far - go to http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handboo...ap=1#doc_chap5 and look at the section on Circular Dependencies. http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t...8-start-0.html may also have suggestions for you.
