That cool OS I just wrote in QBasic (don't laugh, please)
PalmOS. Or, at least pre-v5 releases. It's compact, elegant and requires very little in the way of processor power to do its job. I think that with the advent of v5 onward, Palm (and their various licensees) have lost sight of the original concept of the Palm organiser.
You can't lump all window-ses together.. WinME and Win2000 are worlds apart. I have generally had good luck with Win98SE and Win2000 by stripping them down... IEradicator is your friend. But my vote goes to PalmOS because it is so well suited to the device it was written for. Compare that to WinCE, basically microsoft trying to shoehorn itself and a bunch of apps that should be run on a laptop... into the PDA market. Makes me "winCE" all right.
Interesting that Windoze has received most of the votes in this poll. Is that because more people have left/are leaving Windoze for *nix than any other OS?
Could be just that there were just more M$ systems out there. Of course such a poll is entertainment value only.
*grins* Hello Bodie ) Me too... But i run that through vmware..
It's a hell of a setup though.. First vmware with win98 installed, then the amiga emulator in win98.
I'm saving up for one of the new Amigas.
But since Amiga wasn't listed i had to vote for windows.
For Kazaa and the games and the damned school.
Nope... Sadly enough my last Amiga died in february this year.
*sighs*
The 21.st february my trusty Amiga 500 died after serving me for 15 years or so.
So i'm waiting for the new boxes. I got a deal with the only surviving Amiga dealer here in Norway to get one as soon as they get them. At a discount for "testing". Hehehehehe
Is there a better way to run Amiga progs under Linux?
I got the Amiga SDK, but i've lost the manual.
I've been moving around so much the last two years that it's strange that i remember my new adress.
Sadly not. All they do is sell used Amigas and as we're waiting. The new ones. Actually that was the same place i bought my first Linux distro (october-95)
But the still sell used Amigas and Commodore 64's when they find someone.
I miss the Amiga os and the computers.
