I mean you knew what you were doing.. these kids did not know what they were doing.. they were messing around, and inturned that jacked things up..

when u say cntrl+c to stop the teacher's lecture

When your text book says ROM

when you keep saying SAVE when memorizing notes

when you install an extra fan in the ac so that it doesnt get heated up

..when you notice on seinfield that they had a Macintosh computer, but on seinfields desk you see the Windows Software Box.. its Blue and cloudy, either 95 or 98..

when you get to page 15 of a thread like this and see posts talking about how they are geeks for having read that far then go wow i just wasted a lot of time on nothing then continue to read to the end (page 20)

i know that one. i can't stand working on the puters at work but i can't wait to get the new 2.6.1 kernel on my newly installed debian.

I guess geeks are around computers enough they tend to find the faults, that non-geeks don't see...

You keep obsolete PCs and parts just for nostalgia purposes. Like reminiscing on how slick my 486DX-50 (not DX2) was running a VLB slot at 50Mhz with a Diamond Viper video card. Today a $10 VGA card off eBay is faster, but man was I bleeding edge back then.

I was a TRS-80 guy at that time, but did manage to give my Model III and an original CoCo to charity. It was painful though.

when you run a web browser on one machine and a cd burning program on another, but on the opposite screens via ssh and X forwarding!

i keep all my old pc parts, linux can do some really cool things on them
