Yahoo Messenger for rh9
I installed yahoo messenger in my redhat 9. The first time it ran correctly. From the next time onwards I cannot open it. When I try to open it from the terminal I get the message "Segmentation Error". I cannot open it from the window. when I try to uninstall it it says there is no such thing installed. When I try to reinstall it says the package is already installed. What can I do to make it work again ?

Any Idea as to what caused the "Segmentation Error"...
However, I would recommend you to download the latest version of GAIM http://gaim.sourceforge.net/downloads.php (an Instant Messenger Client like Yahoo!)..(Download 1.5 ..not the beta version!) The GUI is quite simple to use "according to me". If you find it difficult to use, let me know, I'll get back to u for helping u out! And as far as yahoo messenger is concerned, find out if you can use the rpm -e command with other options to uninstall it! |

Edit: please don't cross-post. Making one thread for your problem is better because it keeps all the discussion in one place (so you and others don't have to get confused and stuff). |
Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
