Windows Traceroute isnt making much sense

Okay explain this someone. I have two computer plugged into a router. One machine is running Slackware and the other Windows XP (I also have Fedora on a 2nd Harddrive on the Windows PC) when I run a trace to Yahoo from the 6th hop on the pings on the Slackware machine AND the Fedora partition are in the thousands of ms. 3038ms 2642 ms 2387 ms etc. However on the Windows machine the same trace at the same time hitting the same route my times are under 30 ms. THAT doesnt make sense to me. Ive done it several times with the same result.

Perhaps linux is garnering more information from the hosts than simply tracing the path?
