LinuxQuestions.org - Windows 2003 Domain Users Unable to access Windows Xp Clients Local Hard drive

Dear friend,

I have a Problem in my Network... My Network Consists of 1 DC and 10 Windows XP Sp2 Clients...

My Domain Name is : xyz.in

All Win Xp sp2 Clients are foramtted with NTFS & has 3 Partiton as C:,D:,E; .. I Joined All XP pcs into my xyz.in domain...

I Have created some Domain Users in my AD and Using that Domain Users A/c , i logged into client successfully and works some documenets,create some folders etc and saved it in my Local Hard drive( D: or E:) ..
Recently I Puchared one Server PC and Intall New Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition and promote it as DC.. my Domain name is xyz.com

Now i successfully remove clients from my old domain(xyz.in) and Successfully joined my clients to new DC(xyz.com)... Here i created some domain users...

The problem is when i logon with XYZ.com domain users in my client, I can open the local hard disk drive but i can't able to save any new thing in it and as well as can't able to edit my old files and folders (which are created using xyz.in domain users)... i can able to save the files,only in users profiles path like My docmuemts and Desktop...

I open my NTFS properties of Clients Local Drive .. All settings are in disabled statge due to limited users account but everyone users are not check any permission...

i logged into clients by using Domain Administrator account and Change the Everyone Permission of Local Drive as Full Control and now i can able to save new things or edit my old things in my local drive .... The problem is sloved..

But my question is if i have 1000 clients in my nw.. I can't able to do above solution.. Because it is dedious job...

Is any other way to slove this problem?

Because changing Domain what are things i should follow in my nw?
