why linux expo in boston?
 

hey i was wondering why they moved the linux expo to boston instead of ny? this sucks now i cant go

I'm sure you'll need to ask the people who run it. I'm guessing that Boston is a little cheaper to have it in, probably got better deals on the convention center they're going to use, etc.

If your in NY, at least if you do make it, your trip is rather closer than mine will be, to either they have each year.. I'm dead smack in the center of Texas.. ;)

And some of us have even further than that to travel........ :)

Looks Iike I will be there as well. Picked up the Pats last year in the Bottom of the Hynes convention center where this is being held.

kinda hard to travel from nyc to boston when your 16 =/ ah well better luck next year

Hmm.. I drove from Dallas to Indianapolis all by myself when I was 16 and that's around 1,000 miles.. hmmm.. ;)

Doesn't Boston have a proud history of independence and speaking out against unfair representation, something about tea I think, anywho seems like the locale would go well with linux along those lines

I am going to go with that you can be out of the city in 15min from all most any where in it. You can easely drive in it, and lower costs of food, hotell etc because unlike NY you don't have to stay in the city.
