which power connector should I use for SATA?

I just got my first SATA device (new HD), and noticed that it has two power connectors--one SATA and one legacy. Is one better than the other, or should I just pick one (my PSU does have both cables)?

I'd use the sata power cable for the sata drive if you have it.

Correct. I have a couple of WD drives that also have those double connectors. Using one or the other does not make any noticeable difference.

Either of them will do ... It makes no difference which one you use.
