Where to post some windows software so all the world can find it

Sin of Sins I am ashamed to tell you today I log in to this site using a godamn windows PC.
I am now a Linux man but have several peripherals that dont have linux drivers and the lady in my offie is to stupid ever to learn a new system
I run a pc with windows ME just for her and the flat bed scanner that connects to a parralel port.
It had a hard disk crash.I got a new drive and installed me again from the master cd .All fine but now we use an HP deskjet 845c which plugs into USB.Me says it does not have drivers so of I go to HP's site.
Great news guys HP says that microsoft are no longer prepared to ship drivers for 845c running on earlier verisons of windows.Upto windows 2000 is excluded.
Back to my crashed drive .plugged it into a linux computer and without too much fuss got lots of files off it including the HP drivers.
To stuff HP and Microsoft good I want to know where I can post the file of drivers and a toolbox and all sorts of goodies for the 825c printer so that all who need it can find it.
I am not very knowledgeable about the net and hope one of our members will point me to a place who will want to keep this file and make it available.
I do not have a website else I would put it on there
My email adress is 0834786881@mtnloaded.co.za all ideas and help appreciated

I would think that publishing proprietary software without the written consent of the vendor can get you into a lot of serious legal/financial trouble. Don't do it.

What a bunch of wets

I did not ask if I should or should not do it I asked where it might be done.I expected computer boffins to know.
I have had so much shit with this site that I will no longer bother with it

Ps The idea that these big corporations can sell me a printer and give me drivers as a free download then decide I cant use them anymore after a few years is intolerable.
Small wonder there are so many who feel the need to spend time and brain writting viruses for windows.
I will post those drivers. When I was looking for them my search on google showed there were thousands of people out there in need of them.

HP printer drivers.

Don't get too upset, but I have had a lot of problems in sourcing drivers for older equipment. Without drivers the old equipment is ready for the rubbish bin. That's why I'm moving to Linux. Probably the best way to get a driver for HP printers is to whip one of one of the later Win 98 installation discs. Your colleagues in IT must have one somewhere. I now burn all drivers to disk, as well as many of the software updates that I download. I suppose there is a cost to keeping old drivers on the servers accessible to the web. The drivers belong to you so I believe it would be quite legitimate to get a copy from another source.

i already have the drivers

I was fortuneate that I managed to rescue the drivers from a crashed windows harddrive simply by plugging the drive into a linux system and rebooting the Linuxsystem.
It allowed me to get all the files I needed to save off the disk

NOW after the struggle to get drivers legitimately and after seeing all the other people on the net looking for those same drivers I AM DETERMINED TO MAKE THEM AVAILABLE TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS THEM and I don't care much what Microsoft want to do about it.
In view of Microsofts history of being prosecuted all over the place for bad practice I do not think any court will tolerate them trying to hit me for giving away old drivers that they want to with hold from users who had them for free before.
These are windows drivers and I am looking for a home for them or a place where I can put my email address for a google search to find then I will email the whole file including the tool box to anyone in need.

Suggestions please from our Linux boffins.
I am currently installing MLDONKEY but I suppose that facility wont be much use to windows users will it?.
Watch this space I have WINE running with a few bugs still.when I have sorted that I am going to see if wine will run that tool box just for the hell of it.
On linux the linux drivers are extremely good with that same printer I only needed them becauuse I am still running one windows box.
the Windows running on it is not pirate it is a legitimate legal installation and that is why I am so outraged with the idea of them withholding the drivers (only 10k without the toolbox.)

ideas for a place to let them be found by anyone searching please guys.
I will even include a sugestion with them that the needy person consider swapping to Linux which will drive his printer nicely.

Just to clarify, are you asking for assistance in distributing pirate copies of copyrighted material?
