I know, i'm a dork! LOL But i'm a happy dork. Did you know that the word dork is the "reproductive organ" of a male whale? Just an out of the blue fact of the day. :)

It's 06:50 GMT - I guess the Euro vote will weigh in heavy for the nex 10 - 16 Hours. :)

the mcleodnine spends most of its days on the West Coast of Canader where at the moment it is making a pitiful attempt to snow.

you'd think we'd at least have one or two penguins from the antarctic...

acid_kewpie 12-05-2001 05:24 PM

no, you see the penguin is not as evolved as the human race, consequently they would have no concept or understanding of a computer and what it represents if they were to be introduced to one.

kinda like texans generally ;-)

still a secretary?

oh, and anyway the polar bears suck the electricity grid dry from their macs, toasted sandwich makers and 3 bar fires.

[please ignore geographical inconsistencies.. it's just a crap joke]

i'd try to be insulted, but i'm the one answering phones for people who more or less support your theory.... *sigh*

at the moment... yes, but the interview went really well (i think)... won't know anything till next week tho. it's hard to keep a straight face when the suit doing the interview asks if i know how to use ms-windows very well... it's a db job, and the guy was patronizingly trying to find out what i know about ms access... so i went off on a nice lengthy spiel about the sql backend that pretty much left him intellectually castrated for the rest of the interview. ...course... i was kinda bluffing in that i'm only half-sure that access uses sql as the backend. he obviously didn't know any better tho. i got along really well with the IT manager tho... i hope he's the one making the hiring decisions :)

actually i have done tons of support back in the days, and i tell you who really didn't know computers were people from up north, in the new england area, now i am not saying everyone up there doesn't know computers, but from what i have seen and dealt with, the majority of them are up there.. even the people from tennessee were smarter than most of those people.. so acid.. have you ever been to texas?? probably brainwashed like the rest of the universe thinking we only have old ghost towns, tumbleweeds blowing across the street.. that type of thing everyone sees in the movies.. :) sorry, just felt i had to stick up for my state again..

btw... England rocks..especially music from there, except the rolling stones, those guys need to retire. if it wasn't for england, we wouldn't have this great country of our own.

Aussie 12-06-2001 12:37 AM

Oi,Oi,Oi....
I'll keep an eye out for any stray penguins :p

Thymox 12-06-2001 06:21 AM

I think you'll all find that the evolutionary ladder that an animal takes might not necessarily be the same as the one which we took. Take the koala, for instance. I seem to remember a very minor debate as to whether we should allow them to have decent job in the city.
