Originally posted by matthewallen also ms has a good stake in hardware, at the moment. I mean how many devices have windows embedded on them, from sewing machines, to ovens and cars, they run windows. So i think that is where linux needs to foucs it attention now, in the embedded sector, mo so than it is already doing so.
I agree because however bizarre this sounds, I have seen a sewing machine running Windows.
I honestly believe that Google is the best thing to happen to the Internet (besides LQ of course ). People go to Google when they want real information, and if billy "satan" gates succeeds in buying it, well, the world would become a corporate-controlled 1984.
after me aaron, the one in my thread that started the convo about google linux v ms, and told u about, u wouldnt know that it was happening if it wasnt for me.!!!!!!!!!

sorry about post 24 fellow member let me rephrase this post
I agree with icyfire google is the best thing to ever happen to the internet becuase it as a worderful thing, google in simple and fantasic
i must use it more than 50 times a day and thats not a joke, if google were to be brought by mocrosft and they better not, i would certainly get very angery with microsoft.
I am not anti microsoft but i am anti bill gates, i think they create good hardware but rubbish software
sorry about saying that
but any way yes google rules wuithout it i would be using some unrealiable search engine whicj is not very goood.
google has new let me down and i think that there seasonal pictures are fantactic.
What is your problem? I have read this entire thread and not once has someone direspected you.. attacked you personally, poke fun at you or anything like that.
So I was curious as to why you are acting like this?
I agree that M$ will steal google if they cant but it.....But I have a trick up my sleeve that will really burst their bubble...( I'm not gonna tell just yet....and I'm hopeing some M$ employee is reading this) but when I use that trick...well...... M$ is going down.
It may sound like wishful thinking ...but I've been planning for quite a while ( Like 3 or 4 years).
this argument is something that started in college, where he follows me around.
I fixed his computer for him, gave him some discs, and sold him a usb key disc, now that he has what he wants, he has dropped his, what i thaught was a freindship with him. He is now being nasty and spitefull in college, including some very bitchy homophobic remarks towards me and a female freind of mine, so much so, she was quite upset and the matter has been refered to a senior memeber of staff at he college, so online is only half the story

woh slow down this is a linux fourm NOT a place for these sorts of discussions i would like to remind you that this site is for questions assosicated to linux and genral is assosiated to more or less windows, there is no need to say the same thing again and again you have already said this in another thread.
Just to clear this subject no homophobic remarks have been made against you in this forum and outside this forum. And for the record i have never spoken to this female freind of your so could you please refrain yourself from mentioning this.
if you wish to discuss this matter further please contact me by e-mail to prevent these pitty arguments being brought up on this forum.
any moderators that read this post please note that i do not mind revealing my e-mail address.
if google was sold to microsoft why would this be such a problem, although i do not want microsoft to buy google what do you think would be the probelm with this.
Odds are that if MS bought Google we wouldn't see too many changes immediately. Probably more ads for MSN and MS products. Maybe more pay "channels" on Google and, of course, the next MS OS release would enable you to search from Google by clicking start > search.
Any changes would be made gradually and fully tested by the public before being properly unleashed (by tested, I mean MS would count the hate mail for each new or changed feature!)
And www.google.com/linux would be history, right? I don't want MS to have anything to do with google. They ruin everything they touch. Look at the screen door OS they have.
I have emailed the people at google a few times and I have a lot of respect for the way they do things. They do things the way they should be. M$ would ruin it.

Hello,
I have a suggestion for everyone here. Let's all calm down and take a breather here. This is not the place for personal grudge matches regardless of who's at fault. This is a forum. If you gentlemen have personal problems with each other, I suggest taking them outside of this website. Thank you.
unlikely but if there are any microsoft staff reading this, the corperation could prove there decency by leaving google.com/linux alone and not get rid of it, it would be a great loss.
But then again another search engine provider may host a /linux.
BUT
becuase i am no good at this, is lycos powered by google?
I'm afraid I'm not interested in this thread coming back on track or not. Certain people are just being an embarrassment to both themselves and Mebyon Kernow alike. Seriously lads, drop it.
