Scott McKenzie again: What's the difference.

I come for chapters I and II because of an insecurity about the lyrics. Fortunately he enunciates clearly. The “lyrics” that I find on the Web are oftentimes surprising reincarnations of Usenet-articles from around 2000 and obviously never corrected... This is frustrating, especially for songs which have lost meaning and must be contextualized. They should all be labelled “Handle with Care”, nowadays.

B.T.W. A release-date of 1967 for chapter II surprises me. I always understood it as the “swansong” of Flower-Power, like the opposite of chapter I. There you have it...

If I must guess, I say it is beautiful Turkish Pop. “Popular” like in: 115K thumbs-ups against 4.4K thumbs-downs. Or like in
“Ekin Uzunlar was born on the 21st of August, 1991. He is known for being a Pop Singer.“ (https://www.celebsages.com/ekin-uzunlar/)

I have a suspicion; does any one ever talks about the music of her/his own culture as “etno”? Here's one for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbsEZzgCwmI

This is about instrument he is playing on. Rather some traditional Turkish. I guess of course. Kind of violin. The meaning of "pop music" is different in different countries. Do you think this is disco? https://youtu.be/TteHY5d3uqM Yet here in Poland it is called Disco Polo. And is very, very popular.

If all singing was lost and only 1 language remained singable. For me it must be Dutch... or Portuguese. Can somebody do this in Portuguese, please:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAsaIv-6tS8

Why I still use a download extension:

Edit. Really. Herman Van Veen has written German versions for some of these songs, and I remember them the moment that they come up in his playlist. There is the music, the meaning of the German lyrics and the sound of the Dutch language. Nothing left to add.

Marek Grechuta – I will remember. Do you know if he composes and texts? This is in deed close to Herman Van Veen's performance.

Isn't this lovely. Had I read Twee Meisjes and no English translation, I would have thought “Two (little) Mice”, as „Mδuschen“ is nothing else but the diminutive for Maus (mouse) in German. Still better than the „maidservants“ into which our girls are automatically transformed.

Thank you for Raymond van het Groenewoud. This commences in the right way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Az6gnxyw_Mw

Just for authenticity... while I listen to the concert, I also have a watch on
https://map.blitzortung.org/#9.8/48.6496/-0.2395 (There should be sound alright...). We've had so much wind today, that I feared for worse.

He already passed away. He was singer and creator of music to poems. I mean many songs are in reality poems of Polish poets. He created music and performed quite well.
