Talking

How's that make you old fashioned?

Megadeth's - Conquer or Die might make you more futuristically old fashioned... you think "kids" nowadays only listen to static?

Mel Gibson.

I had forced me into this movie and hovered out of the cinema, afterwards, to touch the ground only hours after.., then forced my girlfriend to see it once again.

While Rhythm is absolutely fundamental to Music, and I am amazed by drummers for example, I am far more amazed and thrilled by drummers who also sing. Hip-Hop has endured a trend of mostly Spoken Word to Rhythm but even that has it's practitioners who also, like you and I, look for and demand Melody. My Son is very much into Hip Hop and so keeps me abreast of trends within it and I'm glad to see/hear that Melody and even considerable Jazz are important elerments trending there now.

BTW that was a sweet find. It's a very enjoyable performance.

This one isn't an example of Melody or Jazz influenced Hip Hop, but it is another Dolly tune done up very nicely by a star from the Hip Hop world. I think you might enjoy it.

The Sound - Jeopardy / From the Lions Mouth

British post-punk from the early '80s with a tinge of punk rock/gothic rock. Jeopardy is head of its time. Sounds like it could have been released in the 2010s, easily. And some of those guitar tones are stunning.

This works, of course.

I notice, that I can whistle other Miley Cyrus titles as well, although there is not much need to do it. You can do many things with great skill and to the astonishment of your public, but when you do, give it a name, do not attach the same labels that are already in use for different things.

Hip Hop is too difficult for me, but I believe I have understood Rap. Say Rap, not something else.

I am downright unable to use the same designation for any ”Toccata“, “Rigaudon”, “Concerto", "Opera" and Rap. Whistle.
