At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul

Forget how fucking incredible this album is as a milestone of melodic death metal. Probably the defining album of the genre [sorry, Jester Race]. "World of Lies" in particular is killer.

Etta
against
Elkie
again...

Cannot find Genya & Long John Baldry but that would be an unfair match anyway.

YouTube surprised me with this one.

Alphaxone - Echoes from Outer Silence

This Iranian is the best modern dark ambient artist I've heard since Apocryphos.

"This is an album best enjoyed when relaxing with a cup of freeze dried coffee in zero G."

The "Wandering Corpse" episode of "The Thin Man" radio show from the Old Radio Programs website.

It's kind of silly, but still entertaining. The website itself is one of the best OTR (Old Time Radio) websites I've found. If it had a "contribute" button, I'd contribute.

In the vein of great female singers I suppose these are examples of Torch Songs but whatever you wanna call 'em, they're Live and Sizzling Hot.

I'd describe that album as "if Starscream made a metal album".

Atrox - Unsummoned

God, this song is genius. Such an overlooked band, but so inventive. This song starts quirky [like all their stuff] and becomes insanely beautiful after about two mins in.
