I can honestly not condone anybody say that Melanie could not sing. You can say just as well that Jimmy Hendrix could not play the guitar. Exactly.

While I heartily agree that Melanie had a fine voice and wrote some decent quirky songs (always like the Roller Skates song) I would rewrite the above to ===>>>

"You can say just as well that Malcolm Young could not play the guitar"
since they were both adept and passionate but hardly innovative. Neither changed the genre, they just did a good job of delivering it. Jimi changed everything about electric guitar in multiple genres. Here's just one example of why and how....

BTW if anyone has any interest it's probably best to get this quickly as Jimi's half sister, Janie, will do her best to pull it down
