I spent many years as a touring musician and until it was destroyed in a fire, my music collection weighed just under a metric ton. Needless to say my tastes are quite wide and my collection started with Charlie Christian and Django, leveled up through Folk, Delta Blues, BeBop, Chicago and Brit Blues, all manner of Rock (and Roll ) Punk (Black Flag, Suicidal Tendencies, Bad Brains, Fishbone, etc) with a long stop at so-called Grunge (hated most Glam Metal) a short list of Hip Hop (Tupac, Public Enemy, Eminem..) and a little Industrial like Ministry, and also some oddball Techno/Rave/Trance, but lately I seek relatively unknown (in the US) oddities like Admiral Freebee, Raymond van het Groenwoud, Sigur Ros, Mars Volta.... but today I was in a dark mood and wanted something intense, so I fired up a couple old faves

Heavy Rock Machine Gun

Fusion Cobham, Hammer, and Bolin

Female Fusion Underappreciated

I like how this guy can play both progressive rock and ethereal songs as well.
One of my favorite albums is Ocean Machine.

Haven't listened to it (yet), but my favourite so far is Ghost. Will check Ocean Machine when I have some time.
