OK time to 'fess up. I have a full CD of my old band doing a live show and 3 are now on YouTube. We were a Bluesy-Jazzy Rock 'n Roll Improv band heavy on guitars and improv soloing so if you don't care for that, you might wish to skip these. However, as is stated on the videos, the performance is pretty damned good (especially considering all the running, leaping, and acrobatics in a Live Show) but what I'm actually most proud of is the recording and editing process, much of which was done in Linux on Ardour.

The original was a Mono cassete tape taken directly off the mixing console, which because it is reinforcement, is NOT what it sounded like in the room, but more like a mirror image. The PA boosts most what is weakest in the room. Add to that the best "PCs" at the time had 1MB RAM and DAWs didn't exist, so 20 years passed as well as many moves, and tape deteriorates some with age. Despite all those problems it sounds pretty close to what it did in the Hall, thanks to Digital and hours and hours of hard (but fun) work. So, without any further ado, here's my band.

Got to thinking of this after posting Sonny Boy's though ours is "hardened"

Nine Below Zero

This was totally impromptu as the 2nd guitarist broke a string

String Breaker Based on Otis Rush Tune

This last tune is a segue of Peter Gunne into a Doors-y but a lot harder version of th Bar Band Staple

Gloria Gunne

for any guitar players in here, the only effect is an MXR Flanger. Otherwise it is a stopped tailpiece Les Paul straight into a highly modified Fender Princeton Reverb, kinda Tweed-ified with a British accent. Hope you guys like 'em, especially the editing process. Comments, even bad ones are quite welcome as this is the first I've linked them on the Web.

Note: These are meant to be LOUD! If you can't or won't play music loud, you can get proper bass response with a "Loudness" switch or an appropriate EQ with bottom boost.

Sounds good!

I would suck if I had to play along with others or even tempos yet... :D

Besides the fact that this whole album is a Landmark Album and this song is an artistic highlight of solid, jazz-based instrumental fused Rock (and on an album that largely stands out due to the lyrical songwriting of prolific Steve Winwood) I have always loved the comical scat beginning that apparently only came on the US version. For awhile it was difficult to find but here it is.

Also a lot of:
The Cat Empire "Australian ska and jazz band formed in 1999"
Mr. Scruff "his love of a "nice cup of tea", and the quirky home-produced visuals and animations associated with his music. In an interview he said: "It’s about putting a lot of effort in and paying attention to detail. I get annoyed if I don’t take risks. I’m very hard on myself."[3]"

Listening to Dandylion but can't find Suppose To Have Wept to link to (it's poignant and, I think, personal to the singer) but I did find a more upbeat song:
Don't Take Me Dancing

Supposed To Have Wept was on YouTube at some point but it seems to have been removed. I have to admit to having a bit of a crush on Marianne Sveen.
