^ thank you very much for another gem of nerd humour.
i wonder how many more times we will see it in this thread. just scroll up to post #42 (and many more times futher up...)

anyhow, i'm currently reading The Long War. Recommend! Unfortunately I found out only after I started reading that it's a sequel to "The Long Earth"... It's a good book in its own right, but I'm a little sad that when i get around to reading the first part, my enjoyment might be diminished...

I've done that. It is disconcerting to get into a book and find out there is a prequel.

BTW, there are three more books in that series. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Long_Earth_(series)

I just finished "The Long War" and turned it back in to the library today. The final three were in so I checked them all out.

cool, almost simultaneously (almost finished the long war).

it has convinced that i want to read more terry pratchett, but since his output is so vast, i wonder how i should tackle it (also to avoid something like the described situation)?

I started reading Sir Terry's Discworld Series and stopped when our library didn't have one of the books. It has been a while so I'll probably need to start over.

Here's a link to a page I stumbled upon that lists a reading order for that series. http://www.poslarchive.com/math/misc/discworld.html

Stephen Baxter (co-author of "The Long Earth" series) is a prolific writer. I haven't read any of his books so think that I'm going to try some of his next.

Hopefully it won't lead to me spending too much on SDRs and antennas...

The Jesus factor by Edwin Corley

"Have you ever seen an atomic bomb go off?... What if it doesn't work...and never did?"

A great book for conspiracy lovers.

Consarn-it! I can't find it for Kindle (ny main medium for reading nowadays now my bookcase is full). will look out for it though as I like things like that. Am currently re-reading a book about the Philadelphia Experiment by Charles Berlitz on and off with the new Poirot novels.

Kiwix for offline Wikipedia lets us download 39.8 GB of Project Gutenberg's Library, sweet! The Yellow Wallpaper did not deserve 5 <3 hearts in my book,
"popularity..." :p but don't take my word for it.

ISBN +"0722125461" if that helps.

Mine is an old paperback I bought back when it was reprinted (1980)
I don't do kindle so can't help there. I like books.

half the fun is finding out how he justifies the premise.
it is very well done.
