Yep. The die.net manpages are outdated indeed.

The problem is, while there are https://man.archlinux.org, https://manpages.debian.org, https://manpages.ubuntu.com and https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi, Fedora doesn't offer comparable service.

Nowadays, I usually find Fedora-specific manpages on either https://man7.org or https://www.mankier.com.

Previously, I also used http://man.linuxtool.net for CentOS, but it's not updated anymore.

As to the thread topic, besides already mentioned DistroWatch and LWN.net, I often look at https://pkgs.org and https://freshfoss.com.

I don't understand how they still come up as top results in searches so often.

The site shows ads via googlestuff and doubleclick.net, I guess that's the explanation. I never noticed before because I habitually block that sort of ****. I'm a sad panda now.

PS: of course that probably holds true for many of the sites listed here.
