lets see, last time i went out which was a long time ago.. they were having your first two long islands at some place in austin, then from there they were only 2 bucks, so i had about 8 more of those, 4 heinekens and 2 shots of golden schnapps i think..

i don't drink much, but when i want to get plastered, i do, and i usually feel good the next day..and never get sick, well usually

But now I know... eat while you drink. Cant believe I never got sick before though. 5 Zimas and 1 Long-Island did me in this time, and I have had 4 Zimas, 2 Long-Islands, 2 Run Runners and 1 fuzzy navel before, and never got sick.

Luckily though, I never seemt o get hungover. I feel light headed sometimes, but no headache or anything like that.
lol... alright! we get to compare drinking habits!

ok... i had 3 long islands, 3 cherry vodka sours, and a few tequila and buttery nipple shots. i can't say how many exactly tho... i can only estimate from how little money i have left in my purse and the bad buttery/agave after-taste in my mouth this morning.

anyway, this is easily the worst i've ever been hungover. i was late coming in to work, and i'm seriously considering just going home at lunch... sitting here at my desk with sunglasses on and a gatorade bottle at my side, praying that the phone doesn't ring again. and... hey... the ringer has a volume knob on it . sweet. the ringing won't be quite so piercingly painful now. i wonder if it goes all the way down...

A fifth of George and no telling what else at my last Lynard Skynard concert had me seeing triple.

Can't believe I walked out of there, and sick wasn't the word for it.

Now, I am both a Tom Boy and a girly-girl, although I mostly a girly. When it comes to drinking, I am definately girly.. I like nice n' fruity flavored drinks. I cannot do a straight alcohol shot or beer.

Probably comes from the fact I was raised by my dad though, so I over did the feminine side of myself in some ways.

But just to clarify, I am not trying to say that you cant be a girl and drink certain things. I just mean that traditionally, guys usually drink hard shots and beer. I am not trying to be insulting or pull a Therion comment or anything

Shadowhacker - Honestly it was the whole drug thing. It just overpowered the crowd I was rolling (heh) with. It wasn't about the music anymore. Got to be so overwhelming that I couldn't deal with them all. So...I let 'em go. 5 buddies have died since then and 2 are in jail. Too bad. I liked a lot of them, but as I think back it may have been for the wrong reasons, ya know?

Now...I'm low-key. And Guinness is my social lubricant.

i apologize in advance for this post...

next on vh1 - Behind the Penguin - the untold story of the linux question mods and members - the wild lan parties, the uncontrolled compiling, mp3 pirating, and all the entrapments that come from the dizzing heights of the top of the forum - now in thier own words for the first time.

trickykid: "it started just as a way to kill time at work. you know, harmless fun - wasn't hurting anybody. but it became an addiction. the more i posted, the more i had to post. at first i was just logging in once or twice a day. then it became five and six times, then ten and twenty... and eventually, i had a 10-baseT hooked directly up to my arm. i couldn't help myself. i needed the fix..."

acid_kewpie: "i'm still pretty bitter about all those posts i lost. but, i couldn't even check my mail anymore without obscene emails from newbies who expected me to fix every little problem just because i had the 'guru' label. finally, jeremy made me a mod, and i went back to my original name. but that's when therion12 showed up. my lawyers won't let me comment very much, since the extradition hearing is still underway, but i can honestly say that i have no idea how his dismembered fingers ended up in my luggage."

finegan: "when i told isa that we should booze up and riot, i didn't think she'd take it literally. but now i need a new job and Georgia U needs a new library."

DavidPhillips: "Most of the other mods were younger than me, so it was hard to relate sometimes. They would talk raves and I would talk Lynard Skynard. But then I would think, hey, at least I have a real job."

shadowhacker: "Now, we all knew that isa had a drinking problem, but it wasn't until she started posting nightly polls about her current blood-alcohol level that we started worrying. I tried to take her to a rave to cheer her up, but all she did was bitch about her ex. Then she attacked the dj because he was using media player."

Isa,

Now that was just plain great!

Therion,

Of course alcohol is bad for you. That is what makes it fun! It loosens you up after a bad day, and lets you able to party! You'll understand when you get a little older.

Pperon,

I am sorry to hear about your friends. I had a friend die from using some laced drug also. I used to use Esctasy and Valium in my younger days though. I liked feeling light, carefree and slightly disoriented or dreamy, but I figured out that was not worth the risk. Now I can use Windows for that same feeling

But I love the music still, and I still go. I just dont do the drugs anymore. And I always take friends for safety. I was so glad I did once, because some jerk slipped me something and lets just say I am very lucky.
