Watching movies in Windows

What programs do you use to watch movies in windows?

* dvd movies (original or backed up)
* mpg/mpeg
* avi
* rm
* other popular formats

I basically know nothing about media formats, I want to be able to play whatever I download.

Seems like an awesome tool so far, thanks

I prefer Mplayer for those exotic types then VLC because the interface is far nicer than VLC's... and in Windows I use ZoomPlayer- everything is customizable, fat, and in a nice package.

Why would you want to watch movies through windows, Someone might think your trying to break into their house when they see you standing outside and call the police? :p

like divx, real media etc etc

windows? I use the reset button.

pevelius 01-24-2005 05:11 PM

just use vlc. there is no better player for windows what it comes to ease of use and file format support.
mplayer may be good, too. but it isnīt nearly as nice as with linux.
