Americans (like myself ...) should also remember that we live in a country with a very pervasive ... and yet, in many ways, also very inept ... propaganda organization.
It pays to do some self-study on the topic of "mass psychology." (A good place to start is to learn more about Alexis de Tocqueville, but there are many more. These writers did not "provide 'how to do it,'" but they were very influential upon their schools of thought.)
One of the key mass-psychology objectives, in this context, is to:
Persuade "the masses" that their world is going to Hell, and that there is nothing they as individuals can do about it.
Persuade them that the root cause of their woes is "the other 'masses,'" most especially anyone who is "unlike them."
That, no matter what happens, the ruling class that is now in place must by some virtue continue to rule as they do.
The "present rulers" in the United States are basically scions of the people (or, are the people ...) who made vast sums of money from World War II.
They were the military suppliers, as well as the "armchair quarterbacks" who held the ear of the political organization that ultimately controls and directs the military one. Never mind that they haven't won a single war since then, and also never mind that the ultimate victory in both Germany and Japan had much more to do with the Soviet Union (which is more-or-less in-between these two byland) than the Allies. These are the families that manufactured the ammunition, the aircraft, the blankets, the rations ... and the Uranium. ... and who made (and continue to make) ##CLASSIFIED## dollars every ##CLASSIFIED## from doing so. They sold to every country in the world, and they can likewise be found in every country.
"War is HellMoney."
The omni-present presumption of "American exceptionalism" drives both the actions of this country and its citizens' professed willingness to continue to consume that message when it is offered. "Ike" Eisenhower saw what was happening and tried to warn the country as he stepped down from his penultimate level of military command.
The sum of these "schools of thought"s sound like individuals living past death... this world is archaic and who "teaches"\teaches "the masses"\the masses? Your votes and old papers
(pun in 10 did )
more than anything I see?
E.g: "and secure the Blessings of Liberty" that "In God we trust" &c&c&c
Change takes more than thousands of years of learning... who has the time?.?
Are the atrocities perpetual because? I Don't gawk at them. You may gawk at them? Or, "our" ( W.-mo-fo-.W) voting does nothing?

Allowing the population to vote is a release valve that prevents the hunger for revolution!!
