Vista VM puking. Where? AntiVirus related?

The title says it all.

Downloading a program (not system) update, I get the error:
Code:

McUCint.exe - Entry Point Not Found (in title bar)

The procedure entry point BCryptDeviceKeyPBKDF2 could not be located in the dynamic link library bcrypt.dll

This comes with Avast moaning and giving me issues to resolve. If they're linked, I can just uninstall it then. There was no meltdown/spectre protection for Vista, no updates for years, so I never actually use it, but it installs some few thing windows 10 doesn't - Dodgy programs and FAT drives, for example.

My update continued.

It's Ok - I solved it.

Macaffee is borked AFAICT, and it can't go because it's part of Vista
Avast won't go either, and they won't let windows run.

But Vista could be deleted in VB, and all is well.
