Vcd Never Works

Hello, I am using Nero 6 ultra trying to take some .mpg simpson shows and make a VCD, My DVD players both say on the front they will read VCD's. I open the Nero Express and drag and drop the .mpg's, I create the Menu, and I use the US TV Standard to burn them. When I put them in the DVD player it says disk cannot be played, playback feature might not be enabled on this disk. My Other DVD player says no disk. What I am doing wrong?? Im tired of waisting CD-R's!!! Thanks if anyone can help!

use cdrws...

umm.. try, instead of NTSC, PAL. (brit system) may work, if your DVD players are from there.
look in the manuals to see which system they support.

I have tryed both formats with the same result. If I pop a VCD I made with Nero into my computers DVD Drive, WinDVD brings up the menu and plays it automaricly, and fine. It just don't work on the DvD Player.

Try another DVD player (if you can). Some of the earlier players couldn't play CD-Rs, or perhaps even CD-RWs.

have you tried another version/type of cd burner? program or physical.

that sounds like one for the manuals.
