uses for old ipad 2?

So I found an old ipad 2 that works, but was going to be sent back for recycling. Anything I can do with it? Is it possible to put Android or Linux on it? It seems like a waste to just chuck hardware that still works.

Cool, thanks. WAs thinking of using it as an ebook reader. I don't think iOS 9 is getting security updates, but I can transfer things via USB. (And when did the kernel start supporting mounting apple devices?)

I use a pretty old and cheap android tablet for traditional drawing practice to keep the old hand eye coordination trained up. It's nice to have references at the fingertips.
Books, I still prefer to read in dead tree carcass form, but ebook readers are still a good thing, too.

Edit:
Oh yeah, I don't want to just talk about myself with this...it's an attempt at subtle propaganda for more people to pick up drawing :P
