USB Flash drive suddenly exploded in size

Maybe Windows (Ugh :() is just too stupid to properly count, but it tells me 1.5GB of space is used in my 2GB Walkman, yet when I look in the contents, there's around 150MB~ of stuff in there.

What gives? Any way to accurately check and or empty it?

Has this happened to anyone else?

So the output of ' df -h ' shows 1.5g used?
You can use a command like this to see files on the drive and sort by size. ' du | sort -n '. Do this at the mount point of the drive.

a while ago I lost a few gigs on a fat32 hard drive I wasn't aware of it until I moved the data off to reformat it.
needless to say, I was pissed.
