Unidentified Guitar

Yes I know, I know, this has nothing to do with linux but most of you guys and gals are pretty smart and some are musicians so I figured I'd throw this out here.

I got this guitar for free from a guy who got it from a guy who got it from a guy etc. It doesn't have a serial number on it(anyware visible at least). Anybody know what model this guitar is? I know its made by Ventura which went out of business a while ago from what I've read. I can't find any guitar that looks like this anywhere on the net.

The Mysterious Unidentified Guitar Of Doom

Pictures are kind of dark and hard to see the details. But without a serial number or model, your probably better off taking it to a local guitar shop where someone there might be able to identify it or point you to brochures that lead to know what kind it is.. :)

Good Luck!

You might try pulling the neck to see if there is a serial number in the neck joint. Several manufacturers stamp serial numbers in the neck joint or on the neck itself on the part where it mates to the guitar body.

That last picture is definetly it. I still can't find the model number though. haha...thanks floppy. I emailed the guy who runs that ventura site. Hopefully he will know.

I suspect the model is 3351
the 335 was the hollow bodied ( semi-acoustic )
example is here
http://www.signetmusic.com/zone/deta...trument&SECT=1

lots of manufacturers made them
Gibson, Epiphone .....

however
http://www.angelfire.com/blues/rocki...rch_thmbs.html
the 3351 is lighter in finish
yours looks like the ventura ac1
either way I think you've found it
