Found this randomly surfing the net. Had read some of the things he says, but it's fun to see them represented in a didactic way. BTW, I've checked his channel before, there's a lot of interesting stuff.

Unless they can figure out a way to protect and insulate you from the effects of being swallowed by a black hole, then I'm thinking the process would be a pain like no other, something like a molecular (and then submolecular) "wood chipper". But then YMMV ;)

If, as scientists say, strong gravitational forces distort and dilate time, then that pain could become eternal, a real hell :o... (j/k, as time of events happening inside a black hole would probably seem dilated only for an external observer if he could have a glimpse of what happens inside).

On a related note, a while ago I read this interesting article about the attempts to find a unified theory that can explain all the events that happen in the Universe. The possibility of the existence of trillions of other universes somewhere (where?) with entirely different sets of physic rules is mind-boggling and scary, to say the less.

It also depends on the size of the black hole. If you fell into a supermassive black hole, the tidal forces would be far less compared to a black hole the size of a few suns.

I had read about super-massive black holes, but this is really mind-shattering (see image).
