Exclamation To acid:

Firstly I'd like to say:
Oh s**t I'm your stalker, I plan to go to do almost the same degree at Warwick too!

And secondly, you got the link wrong on your site

well don't expect to learn anything actually *useful* there. Warwick is a very theoretical place. In my time there, I had a total of about 80 hours programming lecturing (including a fair bit of esoteric stuff like ML). 2nd order analogue signal anaylsis genuinely did get more time devoted to it.

One thing though, if you do do it, and you do Functional Programming with Steve Matthews (part of my core 1st year) don't refuse to do it because it's not a procedural language. All the i'm-too-clever-to-be-here geeks that had to do it refused to accept it was worth learning... idiots. Mind you, Steve Matthews is definitely a prat... He refused to remark soem of my coursework as i'd sumbitted it to the online system with one file name in the wrong case, so i got 20% rather than 90% or so... go figure...

Well I've applied for Comp. Sci. and should get the AAB entry needed. I've done Electronics to full A level as one of my 4, and the machine code work in that was definately interesting and a change from the higher level languages I've tried so far.
That does sound a harsh thing not to remark your work. I'll be sure to check my SPAG when my time comes
