The future of linux.

I was just thinking the other day that as time goes on, more and more people are becoming computer savvy. I am 19 and I basically grew up around computers. I see 6-7 yr. olds today that already know quite a bit.

Linux is for people who are computer savvy, and as more and more people become computer savvy, there will be a bigger and bigger demand for an OS that doesn't treat them like they're stupid or a child. (Windows XP). Not to mention free. I believe that linux's popularity will only increase and it might actually start to take over some mainstream exposure. Game and software devs will start making every program multi-platformed I think. I see the future of linux as being pretty bright.

The only people who won't like this are the elitists who won't feel special anymore because everyone is using their OS.

Just my $.02

And your $0.02 goes into General. Despite the fact that this is about Linux, it's not technical, therefore it goes into General.
