Because something can't be disproved like a giant spaghetti monster DOESN'T MEAN IT IS HALF RIGHT (or possible,) get you marklar straight; dreamable yes. Yes, we all believe in what we're brought up around point and case! Atheism exists more than religion it's listed first in the dictionary.

I really don't care one way or the other. If people don't believe, fine; if they do believe that's fine with me too.

Personally? I'm probably Agnostic ... Maybe there is a God maybe there isn't - but, I'd rather not waste my (limited) time arguing about it.

Partly true to me too but (debate is a part of life so) would the world be better off with or without belief, trust and loyalty to gods?

LOL @ comparing God to spaghetti or lasagne. Like they can create universe or planets. Holy books teach us that we(or humans if you are not one of us) are created in image of God so if you look into mirror(or through window where humans are or should be, in any case find some place where humans are) you will see that your comparison is not only lol but double lol! Nothing similar at all to giant food.

Same.

Waste of time trying to find truth or force that can help fix problems in world? Are you sure you didn't mistype Devil as God?

There has to be explanation as to why things are the way they are and that makes solution possible!

Books teach us Sam-I-Am likes green eggs and ham and anything whether or not your willing to believe it! Humans creating gods in their image makes more sense. That video was OK. But, six minutes?

P.s: Rev season 3 has started.

In the spirit of full disclosure I confess to being both an ignostic and an apatheist. Out of pure curiosity and an unquenchable desire to learn, aren't you leaving poor Ganesha out in the cold? Oh and does the "image" include chromosomes? (wouldn't be a very good image if it didn't, eh? ) If so, does the image contain X and Y chromosomes or just the X ones? I assume your use of the singular when referring to "image of God" was not an accident.

If you are unhappy with giant food as a candidate for the godhead, then I guess you won't be thrilled by my favourite candidate, to wit, MWBR (no! I don't mean "more will be revealed" although it will be.)

Have fun.

You are free to prove that they can't. That is the whole point.

Unless you can prove that those holy books (I think you are actually only speaking of the Judeo-Christian ones) are actually written by a God it is safe to assume that those holy books only teach you what their actual writer deems to be true, regardless if it really is true or not.

I am somewhat baffled by the fact that so many people seem to feel the need to somehow stand out from the rest of our world, that they must be god-like (created in the image of god), that they must be a god's chosen people or even for some purpose created by aliens or whatever.
What is so unbearable with thinking that we "just" are part of a wonderful ecosystem on a nice little planet in a beautiful vast universe (maybe even parting it with many other inhabited planets because life is not that special), that we "just" evolved instead of being created?

I am a man of peace and believe and know God is not a jealous God there is no way I would pray to a insecure God so we can strike that from the bible.
or actually translate it correct. Then when you get through killing people through power of the word in the old testament and realize There is now way a God would choose one child over another. We can get rid of the Jews passages over that. Which is pretty much stories of trying to hold land and take more, anything new. What we have is people describing knowledge of the ? that has been put in writing.

Yes I am a believer and understand the word. Creation-est well lets say 4000 years ago technology and explained it to the best of his ability.

First one must understand religion is man made ok and that's a wonderful thing. First thing you learn is why there is free will. Because there is no such thing as
control. You do not want to put the words down or pic them apart you want to understand the source.
In the first chapter God never tried to control some one. Jehovah explained the out come. after that it was all control freaks.
Untill a lone voice in the woods.

I do not believe the bible is the divine words of some super entity. I believe it is man made and has many faults. Far from perfect. Nothing ever is especially humans. That are made in the image of God. Well that tells me how perfect Jehovah was.

It is impossible to be at right hand of God and be God. you can thank Constantine for that. He realized that most pagan religion have a trinity the favorite three Gods. Understanding this many pagans became curious. Please do not bring mystic junk to the wonderful book of knowledge.

I refuse to believe in anything that is mystic choose as you want angles etc etc all mystic stuff put there to scary you stuff and intrigue you and try to explain something with 4000 year old technology.

First read the word do not let it control you because that is not good. Second take the knowledge of an imperfect God yes far from perfect It made us.

Scratch all the stuff about favoritism in it that is the ego of man. Read the input get the out put. Ask your self how much faith does Jehovah have in you.

First do not bash or put down the wonderful collections of stories in the Bible. At the same time understand the Knowledge.
Do not ever use that book to live by or judge life by. That would be saying a 286 cpu can do what a amd64 can.
Do not be afraid to add your knowledge to it. because when you are unable to live and be part of the knowledge and contribute you become a control freak.

That was the first thing we Learned from the beginning you can create you can build but you no more control then a flower in a field.

after you realize that you can learn to love. that is in the second chapter. Son of man in Greek and Hebrew means normal man.

A simple beautiful child born normal. Sorry the virgin thing does not cut it with me ok. that is another control thing from way back.
And if he was related to King David then I would wonder more about that gene pool.

I have no Idea what the true words of Jesus where because I have not even read his torah and he was Jew. And i am sure his torah would have been around.
ok they got mad at him through it away. When you understand the true knowledge of the new testament it was a wonderful story about love acceptance
caring.
Trust me he was not born on December 25 the big day of the Sun worshipers and was not born in a manger in that area it would have been a cave dwelling.
What part do we believe . You believe all of it and you embrace it and get out of it what you need. Do not live by it or control people by it. because in the beginning you learned there is no control there is only free will.
So Love and live and realize there is no power in the word it is man. And only man can read.

Yes I go to church and yes I embrace the word no I do not live by it or do I let anything man made thing try to control me.
keep it simple it is Love.

Not interested to waste my time. If we will use our body resources to analyze everything then we will get nowhere and our brains will crash from overload. We just need to use common sense and logic to filter those which actually make sense. Scholars might be interested to study everything but everyday people not really.

Unbearable? Not at all. If scientists would come up with human evolution not related to BS theories like these
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencete...eneticist.html
Which is already debunked
http://observationdeck.io9.com/no-hu...ids-1474029809
Then i would be happy. I just don't feel resonating waves inside my body when i hear that human origins are lame. My belief is simple:
-) God(s) or Creator(s) gave birth|life to humans AND for some valid explanatory reason do not interfere
-) Intelligent Alien(s) designed humans and are not involved loudly to make development of humanity possible
-) Humans evolved similar to Darwin idea but But BUT they evolved as seperate species from unique source not related to apes, monkeys, pigs, other insulting origin ideas.
-) Something else that makes sense
Basically read my signature quote about this debate.

Nope. I thought everyone knew (if not worshipped) MWBR. It is intimately connected to the Big Bang thus involved in "Creation". It just hums along happily not bothering anybody. For the "MW" think of a common kitchen appliance.
Enough hints? If more help is needed just duckduckgo "mwbr" "astronomy".

Just a friendly tip, Arcane. You don't really want to rely on the Daily Mail for anything even remotely resembling reality. This article found in the Daily Mail will give you a taste of their brand of journalism. It is not for nothing that there is an extension called Kitten Block that you can add to Firefox that redirects any url containing dailymail to a website featuring photos of kittens doing something silly.
