Now I find this amusing!
The person who started all this should have profoundly apologized, but he is seen nowhere !!
and some other person who had nothing to do with the issue jumped in to get bashed for no apparent reason ???

There was reason...
However, I acknowledge that dv502 never posted any malicious code. I also acknowledge that he is far less worse than Kenny_Strawn (and like-minded members of whose name(s) I won't mention here) and hold him in much higher regard than those aforementioned fellow(s).

I apologize for arguing semantics way too much.

I just don't like intolerance or (compared to my very middling viewpoints) radicalism. (Which is why I hate conspiracy theories so darn much). I misinterpreted dv502 to be one of those, which he proved he isn't.

So I guess I apologize for dv502 feeling obligated to apologize. (lol )

So you were thinking that we should say we love MS even though we totally disagree with their licensing and don't like their product, just to keep you happy?

This will be my last statement and will not discuss it anymore.

When I say "I hate windows", it just means I don't like using the operating system.

When I say "I hate microsoft", It means this:

I don't like microsoft's monopoly on the desktop market.
I don't like the way they treat their competitors
The FUDD campaigns against linux
Steve Ballmer's rants on linux and opensource

Also, some of you think all I do is insult microsoft and windows all the time.
I do not always. In the past I debated and rant microsoft and windows with constructive
and valid arguments.

I will occasionally add satire humor when I am debated and/or ranting. And it is clean.
No sexual or vulgar language like the F-word.

If some members think that this is immature, well that's your opinion. Satire is used in all
mediums.

If some of you are old enough to know who Don Imus is -- you'll know his show is
based on current events and politics. He will use both constructive arguments
and satire.

Anyway, that's all I have to say and hopefully for the last time.

- Cheers

Of course not!

I didn't like what mattvdh had to say either.

I'm a neutralist and I don't like when people just flame away with biased arguments, that are often not true. I believe that Microsoft has done a lot of good things, as well as a lot of bad things.

True.

I watch Glenn Beck all the time, and he makes effective use of satires to discredit his opposition as well. I haven't really ever listened to Don Imus though, but I get your point.

Perhaps the sentence construction is misleading here The sentence is supposed to mean that the *other* person jumped in "the fire lit by someone else" for apparently no reason and got burned/bruised/bashed up, which he could have easily avoided !

I had to overwrite Slackware on my build box with Vista last night because I couldn't update my phone via Virtualbox and Vista just wouldn't accept being anywhere except disk0 partition0. I feel so dirty. On a side note my mobo driver disk installed it's own version of syslinux and rewrote the bootloader, so score one for linux I guess. I need to go see what it did that for.........

No he's not.

That was a very sensible argument. One comment would destroy his career...
Well, he's had plenty of chances. And he's only getting more popular. Olbermann has once again been disproven.

Actually, the link was to show people who aren't familiar with Glenn Beck, and how he uses commentary with satire.

Whatever he was discussing on the video was irrelevant to my point. ( i.e How Glenn uses commentary with satire )

I don't think he's the worst person either. He's just a no hold-bars guy that will say whatever he feels. That's what make him interesting and not boring. hehehe
