@ Kenny

I agree.

Micro$oft, a two-face corporation, embraces opensource ONLY IF IT BENEFITS THEM, like in their pockets.

As for apple and oracle, you can't blame them. They are just following the father of lies, the father of suing and the father of deception that is of micro$oft.

It's for charities. I'm not so sure on the "open", though they call several other programs "open something".

Yeah... And so far, the only multibillion-dollar corporation that is willing to stand up to M$ and release all their source code (at least to software that is on the system, like that of Web browsers, widget engines, or operating systems) is Google.

I use google mainly for search engine purposes.

But, any company who stands up to micro$oft or is anti-micro$oft is okay in my book. I give them a Double thumbs up.

Hi,

That means you, M$, AppŁe, and OracŁe, on top of anything that's a menace to the open source world.

Call me a troll all you want, but all you're doing is not only making me mad but also everyone else on this forum. If you cannot fit in with everybody else, you don't belong here.
You've been told more than once by the mods to tone things down.

You don't speak for me! Take your own advice: "If you cannot fit in with everybody else, you don't belong here". Open Source doesn't need people to defend it, especially those who are not civil let alone not polite. But people who have an open mind and willing to share without dictation or setting poor examples. Tearing down one thing to build another is just plain childish!

Does this includes me as well?

Gee, I guess we better call the micro$oft police and have me arrested for hating their product.

They will handcuff me with their playdoh handcuffs, strap me tightly on their playdoh barber chair, then cut my hair with their plastic playdoh sissors, then throw me into the hole and finally turtore me with a window$ OS to use all day.

Oh yeah, I forgot. When it's feeding time at micro$oft prison, they can make me 3-inch cakes with the Easy Bake oven.

Get real people, OS wars has been going on since the eightes and will go on forever more.

Seriously, OS wars should be fun, clean and with a little irratation to the person you are arguing with.

Anything beyond that like threats to do bodily harm to anyone or a comapny is stupid and will get them in trouble.

- Cheers

This applies to you too!
How about practicing whatever you preach, Mr. Strawn ?

I have no business in this thread, but your behavior is making me mad now !

You warn/threaten people to not to post malicious code/commands and then you yourself keep on posting these kind of commands on every chance you get !!!

and now when you ask the poor newbies to modify grub or some other settings, I just can't trust you, it somehow comes to my mind that this may be one your another tricks to trap people !!

I have seen what people think of you in the Ubuntu forums and now it is becoming very obvious that why you need to keep on constantly switching forums !

I guess kenny and I are LQ villains.

Kenny is charge with multiple crimes as mentioned above.

My crime is only hating micro$soft.

Hey, kenny if the micro$oft police comes for both of us, I hope you have a way to slow them down. I think donuts is not going to work.

I will use a roll of pennies and spread it all over the floor. Micro$oft is so greedy for money they take anything probably food stamps too. I'll be like watching pigeons in a huge circle eating grains on the street.

Wait! Wait!, I can't believe my eyes. Bill Gate$ and $teve Ballmer are pushing there way into this penny frenzy like mad men. They are punching, kicking, pushing, pulling, biting and screaming on top of their lungs for those pennies.

It's CHAOS!, it's PANDEMONIUM AT THE EXTREME !!! Blood, gnashing of teeth, eye couching, clothes ripped to shreds all for the remaining blood soaked pennies on the floor. WHAT A FIGHT! WHAT A FIGHT!!!

I used to post malicious code, and now I stopped. However, despite that, yes, maybe I should just respect their opinions, and then have plenty of M$ trolls attack LQ? Excuse me, but I should stick to posting code or commands to help people. Malicious code for sure is evil, and as soon as I posted that blog entry about malicious code I responded to that entry with a comment telling others that I have stopped, right? Have you seen any malicious code by me that is dated any newer than 201008? No!

While I am not supportive of several of Kenny's posts... I guess I am in for the ride as well.

Why anyone in their right mind would want to support a multi-billion dollar company that only cares about "its'" bottom line and got to where it is only by being underhanded in it's dealings with the rest of the world is a bit beyond me. Something so unethical should not be supported. If I were that way anyone and every one would turn their backs on me in a heartbeat, and rightfully so. How anyone can continue to support something so corrupt is just mind blowing. I have read a good chunk of the history of computer and the software that drives them. I know my facts. Just because one "wants" to be blind to something doesn't make it right. If you harbor a fugitive ignorance will not often keep you out of court or jail. Why people want to turn a "blind eye" to something just because it benefits them boggles the mind. Ones ethics should be of up-most importance. Honor is still alive in some cultures. It is sad to say it doesn't look like it is here to at least a few. You all make a mockery out of those that fought and died to only stand for what was right in your countries. With out honor, dignity and respect what can one say for themselves? It is sad to see that quality of something makes no difference to you. Quality of work use to be tied to honor, dignity and respect. Things made lasted a life time on many occasion. It is sad to see a wasteful use it and throw it away society and the mentality it ensues.

I'm not going to apologized just because I hate a certain OS. There is no crime for hating an operating system or a product.

I hate M$, but I would never, ever harm a living person or company. That is stupid if anyone does.

My only harm to M$ is just insulting them and making fun of them.

Remember mattvdh, who we fought with 4 or 5 months ago? He didn't like linux, but at least he was honest about it! And I greatly respect him for that.

I'm just being honest too about how I feel about micro$soft.

BTW, If you visit other forums in LQ, I am a different person. I help people whether they are using linux or window$. I only insult and make fun of window$ when I am here.

Of course, there are times when someone starts trash-talking on linux in another forum and I will join in the foray of the back-and-forth flame war.

- Cheers

Aherm...

You guys went way too far!

And for the record, let me clarify my view of software patents.
I do not believe that software patents in general are either good or bad. It depends on the actual patent itself. Some software patents are downright ridiculous. Others are worthwhile, as the inventor made a relevant innovation, and deserves to see the fruits of his labor manifest.

Kenny, you have been warned numerous times by moderators, and spew hatred of epic proportions. You have transgressed against your own ideological standpoints. And then, you went and generalized every individual's thought as being yours; which isn't true, if you read the replies.

You have the right to speak your mind, but your zealotry is communally awkward and against the established rules of the forum.

Geeeeez. Fruedian Slip? I thought you were one of the guys leopard. Not a forum/hall monitor. Looking at your Distributions in your member window. I can see you have taken full advantage of what Foss has to offer.

No blood is being shed. I enjoy the rant's. But that is the biker in me.
Does not mean I agree with anything. But one can smile when one is amused while not agreeing to a pulpit/soapbox presentation.

I haver no love to give to laws like software patents and such. Greed gets no love from me either.

Liked your post. Absent Minded.

Keep the faith Kenny and dv502. This thread comes with no hall pass or hall monitors.
Though the Mods may set me straight on that statement.

I usually never read these kind of threads. But I gotta say."You Guys/We Guys" sure made this one make me smile.

The point being made is that you should never have posted it in the first place. You should have sat back and thought about it before posting at all.
And by the way that last nasty little executable you posted was for Linux, so what it looks like to me is that you deliberately tried to fork bomb other Linux users' boxes (or were just too ignorant to know the difference between a Linux and a Windows executable).
