Thats why its not on schedule...


I work for one of the big 3 and we deal with a foreign partner car company. The other day I actually heard the partner company Project Manager say this:

"The only reason that our project is 2 months late is because you won't move up the due date by 2 months."

Good managers make their own reality.

Project plans are a work of fiction the minute they're written anyway, as project managers ask people to evaluate how much time it'll take them to perform work they've never performed before, so they have no idea of the specific tasks, requirements, learning curve, etc. And then the tail wags the dog.
